🚍 First Bus Essex New Pricing
First Bus Essex users will see an increase in single bus fares effective immediately. The cap rises from £2 to £3 and will remain in place until the end of 2025. First Bus Essex reassures passengers that shorter trips can still be as low as £1.50, with most fares ranging from £2.30 to £2.80.

❄️ Snowstorm Incoming! Brace Yourselves, Basildon
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for heavy snow in Essex, effective from Saturday noon to Monday morning. Basildon (as well as Southend, Rochford, and Castle Point) is on high alert for disruptions caused by snow and ice. Stay safe and stock up—it’s going to be a frosty weekend!

🗑️ Bin Collection Delays Continue Next Week
If your bin gets collected on Wednesday, heads up - next week collection is has been rescheduled for Thursday, 9th January. Next week’s collection is for your black wheelie bin, orange glass box, blue recycling sack, white recycling sack, and your green food caddy. Unsure if your area is covered? 💸 Students, claim your £360 one-off grant from Basildon council

Group singing sessions launched

Vocal Academy, a local vocal academy is launching group sessions this January: Vocal Vibes Mini for Kids, every Saturday at 3.30pm, Vocal vibes seniors for 12 - 18 year olds, every Saturday at 4.30pm and Vocal harmony for over 18s, every Tuesday at 1.30pm. All sessions take place at the San Marie Dance Studio, Billericay.
